    1. Gold Star Award Winner!Stories about the Afterlife have always appealed to me. There are thousands upon thousands of interpretations out there about what, exactly, happens to a person after they die. ELSEWHERE is a new spin on an old topic, but it manages to bring emotion, realism, and entertainment to something that is, in most circumstances, a very depressing situation. To me, ELSEWHERE is a combination of Mitch Ablom's THE FIVE PEOPLE YOU MEET IN HEAVEN and Alice Sebold's THE LOVELY BONES, tw [...]

    3. Elsewhere is my favourite book of all time. I've read a lot of books in my days, and this is the book that I keep coming back to.I'm glad I read it when I was younger, however, as I think if I were to pick it up as an adult it wouldn't quite speak to me the way it did then. Despite no longer being a teenager, however, this book makes me bawl my eyes out every single time I read it.Zevin knows how to make you think without you realising she's doing so. She raises questions of life and death and l [...]

    4. I'm really surprised this book has 4.3 stars. I read this after reading The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry, which was fantastic! You can tell this book was a much earlier novel of hers. It's catered towards teens, which is why I gave it 3 stars (if it were an adult novel it would've had one star). The writing was simple, and lacked depth. There wasn't a true conflict in the book, and the last half was incredibly rushed. There were things left unresolved such as, why did Liz recognize Emily? We never [...]

    5. I absolutely loved this book. Read the entire thing in one sitting. I can't remember the last time I did that! Elsewhere is such a great concept, and I thought Ms. Zevin did a wonderful job of bringing the afterlife to life.I will admit, I almost lost my patience with Liz a few times, and there were moments when I wanted to grab her by the shoulders and shake her ass and tell her to quit being such a mopey bitch, but then I reminded myself that she's FIFTEENd DEAD. I imagine that would be pretty [...]

    6. Elsewhere was a wonderful read. The storyline revolved upon the subject of the afterlife. Elizabeth , the main character, has recently died and must learn to live in Elsewhere. Elsewhere is where all the dead people end up and where the people age backwards until they are seven days old and are shipped back to Earth to start a new life. Elizabeth must come to terms that she will never be able to do the things she has been waiting for, as she died at the young age of 15. Without having been able [...]
